As an author – she creates real situations and authentic people.

Alice
is the proud winner of the 2001 Chester Himes
Award given annually to an
outstanding black mystery writer for their work. Previous winners of this
award include Dr. Robert Greer and Walter Mosely. See our

As a
politically involved woman – she is crucially aware of the complexities
of African American Issues. She is sensitive to abuse of women and
children and other human concerns. She loves debating
dissenting views. You can frequently find her skulking around the Internet
in ‘news groups’ - expressing her opinions.
Alice is author of the month for February at the Good
Book Club of Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
